As an Arizona native, volunteering and helping others in our community has always been a passion of mine. Starting in high school, I was part of a service organization focused on helping teenage girls in our small town learn basic life skills. After graduation, I held several board positions in the Venture Club of Kingman (a sister group of the local Soroptomist chapter). Since moving to the valley in 2005, I have volunteered with several organizations and was very involved with Make-A-Wish Arizona. As a local Realtor, I stay active in our community and have a master's degree in Family and Human Development. I understand the importance of mental health and I am excited to serve our community with Grace Outreach Center

Sharon Kotsonas spent 5 years as a Spanish High School teacher and Sunday school teacher. After losing her 23 yr. old son Nicholas to a drug overdose, Sharon began working with hurting and grieving moms facilitating workshops, support groups and one-on-one meetings for 5+ years. In 2019 Sharon launched Weekly Collective, a nonprofit focused primarily on assisting Gilbert senior residents with yardwork and light housework to ensure their safety and well-being. Weekly Collective works closely with the Town of Gilbert to help seniors facing HOA or town fines and citations due to yard violations they are unable to correct due to physical and financial limitations.
Sharon volunteers as board and committee member/chair for nonprofit boards like: FOT (For Our Town), Desert Southwest United Methodist Council Chair, and most recently Grace Outreach. In her personal life, Sharon spends her time selling real estate, managing her small business, and serving as Lay Leader at First Gilbert UMC with her husband Karl. Her husband, two adult children and grandson are very supportive of her community service and “the reason why I thrive in my service to Gilbert.”
“Working to improve the quality of life for all who call Gilbert home is my goal!”
